MARKETING AND BRAND SPECIALIST

 

Full Job Description

Hathorn Inspection Cameras, based in Markham, is a leader in the North American trenchless technology industry.  We manufacture our equipment in Markham and sell our equipment globally through direct and dealer channels.  Having doubled in size over the last 2 years we are looking to add a full time Marketing and Brand Specialist to our team. 

We seek an energetic self-starter with an understanding of digital marketing techniques/campaigns, the ability to write and edit press releases/blogs/website, and someone who enjoys organizing and attending trade shows.  The role will require the candidate to be fulltime in our Markham office with a view to working more remotely as familiarity with the industry and company is reached.  Travel to the United States several times per year is required.  We are looking for someone who wants to take the next step in their career, with a view to moving up in a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Administering the company’s social media profiles and online reputation management - daily

  • Researching and writing copy for social media content and company blogs - weekly

  • Introducing and administration of marketing tools such as (YouTube, Mail Chimp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.)

  • Email marketing & communication with external stakeholders

  • Managing and collaborating with outside marketing, SEO and website contractors

  • Lead the design and production of marketing materials, spec sheets and instruction manuals

  • Researching, organizing and attending tradeshows in Canada and US (total of 4-6 annually)

  • Creating graphic design illustrations for branding packages and video content

  • Work with Management to look for and develop new opportunities to promote the brand.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in design/marketing/branding

  • Fluent written and spoken English required

  • Post-secondary education in a related field 

  • Ability to travel to the United States 

  • Must be able to write copy and blogs with minimal input/review (as part of interview we will require written samples)

  • Software Experience - Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite, Mail Chimp or similar

  • Social Media Marketing - Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics

  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Team-oriented and able to work with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic and creative

  • Ability to research and clearly document technical information

  • Ability to travel to/from the USA without visas

  • Video editing experience an asset
